Vertigo Spring Issue Contest
♦ Basic Information:
Vertigo is Lynbrook’s official literary magazine. We publish our issues three times a year on our website. Although our winter and summer issues are online only, our spring issue is printed and distributed to the student body for free.
♦ Contest:
The winner of this contest will have their work published alongside all of our members in our spring issue! This is open to both artists* and writers. The deadline to submit is March 6th, 2020 at 11:59 PM.
The theme for our spring issue is: aisling (n.) – for dream or vision
*Please note, all art is created based upon a writer’s piece. If you are selected as the winning artist, you will be asked to create a piece based on the winning writer’s work.
♦ ♦ Rules:
- You must be a Lynbrook High School student
- Additionally, you must not be a current staff member of Vertigo
- No graphic violence, language, etc.
- Please keep your pieces school appropriate, and use your best judgment. If we find your piece is too graphic, you will be removed from the contest
- You must adhere to the theme
- Writers: you may only write five pages maximum (standard Times New Roman font size 12 format)
- You must be a Lynbrook High School student
