Long, long ago
On earth He would roam
Borne of snow
The Pool of Siloam

Where noble men
Innocent with darkness
Cried aloud amen
To light incarnate

There they found sight
and staggered home
The world so bright
Gleaming in chrome

All became shapeless
The passing clay-men
Their faces ageless
Holy men and heathen

Now, in blinding light
Darkness begins to seep
Tiresias was right
Long live the king
